Pride Month Highlights Lisa Phair’s Unique Mom’s Perspective
Lisa Phair was having a enjoyable and successful career, had three great kids and seemingly few hiccups. But all of that changed in 2014. After 11 years at an independent Cincinnati real estate firm, Lisa made the decision to join Coldwell Banker West Shell. She also sent her middle child to kindergarten, a seemingly innocuous school year for most. “It was a really difficult year,” she said. “Starting with a new company and working so hard to get my business growing was hard, but then we learned that we had a larger issue than just having a tomboy. Leo came home a lot and questioned the norms of boys and girls, not quite understanding how things traditional work in school. Separate boys and girls lines. Boys with crowns, girls with tiaras. As the year went on, we realized our now 10 year-old son Leo was transgender.”

NGLCC’s Jonathan Lovitz is Leading The LGBT Economic Boom
Jonathan Lovitz left the University of Florida destined for a career on Broadway. Or television. Instead he has found himself with a senior leadership role with the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC). Jonathan, who will deliver a Keynote address at the NAGLREP Conference on October 1-3 in Palm Springs, is constantly pushing for continued acceptance of the LGBT community by showcasing its power on the nation’s economy. 1.4 million LGBT owned businesses driving $1.7 trillion to the U.S. economy draws attention.
