Jennifer Winchester, Associate Broker | Mystery House Real Estate Tucson & Pima County, Arizona
I moved to Tucson in 2007, at 26, alongside my parents — and landed near family already rooted here, since my aunt, uncle, and cousins own Hachenberg & Sons Pianos on Broadway. I still wasn't expecting to fall for monsoon season so hard I'd eventually change my middle name to Rain. Legally. It's on my license. I will bring this up unprompted.
Real estate found me a lot earlier than that. I was answering phones at my mom's office at 15, long before I understood what any of it meant, and somewhere in there it turned into the thing I actually wanted to do. I've been licensed since 2018 and earned my Broker's license in January 2024. Along the way I picked up the ABR®, PSA, CFSP, and AHWD designations, because doing this work well means never assuming you've learned enough of it.
I'm the sole practitioner behind Mystery House Real Estate — no team, just me, which means the person who shows up to your inspection is the same person you talked to on the phone. I built this practice as an LGBTQ-owned business because Tucson's queer and progressive community deserves a real estate experience that doesn't require translating yourself for someone else's comfort. I founded BNI Rainbow Connections and I'm active with the Tucson LGBT Chamber of Commerce, and I've spent years building a vendor network — lenders, escrow, inspectors, contractors — made up of people who get it, so my clients aren't stuck vetting strangers for basic decency on top of everything else buying or selling a home already asks of you.
This work is personal for me. It's also just good business — people can tell when someone's actually paying attention versus performing enthusiasm at them, and I'd rather be the former. Expect straight answers, a little sarcasm when it's earned, and someone who treats your biggest financial decision like it matters, because it does.
If you're navigating a purchase or sale in Tucson or anywhere in Pima County and want someone in your corner who isn't going to make you explain yourself twice, I'd love to hear from you.
Come as you are, leave with the keys.
