TRUE STORY: I only got my real estate license because I forced to…. Well, kind of... LOL... People kept telling me, “Chris you should really be in real estate. You’d be so good at it. You love to teach and help others”.In 2007, 5 years later, I took their advice… Living in Japan working as a university professor teaching molecular biology, organic chemistry, and English, among other things, allowed me to realize my true passion:  helping, and teaching others! People have called me the “Google of San Diego real estate”. Ask me a question and I’ll get you the answer. I just love teaching people in any way I can! Teaching people how to make a wise financial decision with one of their most important financial decisions is what keeps me going daily. Being a good teacher is only half of what makes a real estate agent successful. You don’t hire me to help you buy or sell a property, you hire me to take care of you and your best interests in every respect. I don’t care what you buy or sell, I care about the experience you have with me. As an out, gay realtor, I can say there is a lot of power my clients feel in being comfortable with who one is in one's own skin, and go through the business of buying or selling a home with discretion, understanding and without judgment of any kind. My advice to you:First, take the time to learn about the process with me, so you can make a wise financial decision. It will be worth it in the long run. Secondly, while the buying or selling process CAN be stressful, when you are with the right agent, it SHOULD be more about fun. I think it’s important you have someone you trust, and as a result, your home buying or selling experience be enjoyable. Thirdly, don't forget to laugh. A house is an investment, but it’s also a place to call home, and create endless memories. Whatever decision you end up making, make sure it’s one you’ll enjoy for years to come. LIVE. LAUGH. LEARN. Cheers, Chris Hyatt

Chris is one of the best real estate agents I've ever worked with. He is smart and experienced in multiple areas of the real estate business. He understands market ups and downs, pricing, staging, appraisals and how to buy and sell homes. He’s awesome. Also, you get the bonus of working with an honest, nice and genuine professional. Chris, thank you for doing a wonderful job helping me buy a home 12 years ago and selling it this year.

Chris Hyatt paid attention to our requests and needs. In the pandemic, he checked out any listing we thought might work for us. Several times he gave us a reason that a listing wasn't right for us and he proposed alternatives. His support staff made everything easy.
