I had one and a half days to look at property in Pittsburgh and one of those days was Labor Day. Don corresponded with me over multiple days before that in order to get an idea of my parameters for property. He lined up multiple properties to look at both on Monday and Tuesday morning. As we began our tour of houses my parameters changed and Don had to cancel appointments and make new ones on the fly. He never made us feel like it was an imposition or we were being a pain and it just truly felt like he was not just working for us but almost as though he was looking at properties “with” us from our points of view. Additionally we looked at some exceedingly inexpensive properties along with some high-end properties and he gave the same effort and attention to detail no matter which price range we were looking at. Some of those low end properties were not easy to physically get to as anyone who’s looked at property in Pittsburgh knows! But Don never complained even when we kept him late, later on Monday then he was anticipating even though it was a holiday. Don has extensive knowledge of most of the areas in Pittsburgh and when he wasn’t sure about some thing he would check on it and get back to us. So many times you deal with sales people and they just tell you things even though they have no idea what they’re talking about… It was a pleasant surprise to work with somebody who truly wanted to get me all of the details that I required! When we did find a property that we eventually purchased Don worked diligently via email text messages and phone calls with us since we were back in Florida and made the process as painless as possible. And while I think he should have, Don didn’t just stop communicating at 5 PM, the typical close of a business day… He kept in touch with us giving us information as soon as he got it no matter what time of day or evening it was. It goes without saying that working with someone who is “family“ made the process so much more enjoyable as we didn’t have to worry about what we said to each other and obviously Don had knowledge of the gay community in general which was beneficial to us since we were new to the area. All in all a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend Don to anyone who wants a realtor who is going to work for them and with them and actually take time to listen and be willing to show you all sorts of properties without judgment.
