A full-time Realtor licensed in Virginia since 2004, Sloan is a Reston neighborhood specialist and personal homeownership consultant. Sloan is a Life Member of the NVAR Top Producers Club, a member of NVAR, VAR, and NAR, as well as a member of NAGLREP.  Prior to his more than 15 years as a real estate agent serving home-buyers, sellers, and investors in Reston and the surrounding Northern Virginia areas, Sloan served for more than a decade in the public interest nonprofit sector as a communications specialist. This included several years working for the Human Rights Campaign as well as the Victory Fund, advancing equal rights and religious liberty for all Americans with a specific focus on ending discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. He and his husband have lived in Reston since 2003, and Sloan has lived in Northern Virginia since graduating from the University of Pennsylvania as a Communications major in 1992.
