Prior to becoming an agent, I was a client, looking to both sell my current apartment and buy a new one. That experience helped me realize my passion for the field; so I studied and received my license here in NY. I am ready and eager to assist all clients (but especially the LGBTQIA+, who often face unique challenges) in finding the perfect home, or getting the best offers for their current property. I believe the best homeowner is an educated homeowner. The more you know about the market, the less surprises there are along the way. I like to guide my clients and help them understand the ins and outs, and educate them in the areas they’re less familiar with. I try to be a resource they can rely on to simplify the process and minimize the fear of the unknown. In short, I strive to make the seemingly overwhelming process a joyful experience. Whether someone is selling the family homestead and starting a new life, buying their first place to new roots, or anything in between, it’s exciting. And if you break it down step by step, it’s not as intimidating as you imagine. My goal is to take the fear out of the equation, and streamline the experience. Long interested in real estate, I love discovering hidden gems. Part of the excitement of NYC is never knowing what might be around the corner, and I'm always ready to take that turn and see what I can find!  Along the way I’ll listen, manage expectations, and work hard to make the client's dreams reality. On a personal note, I am probably the only real estate agent you will meet who studied puppetry in grad school, and worked as a professional puppeteer! Don’t be surprised if a puppet or two show up in my future property videos! I was also an animator on BLUE'S CLUES for many years, as well as a Broadway producer helping to usher new plays and musicals to the stage. That same energy and care that helped bring multimillion-dollar shows to the Great White Way, I'm now putting to great(er) use in my real estate practice. A New Englander from northern Connecticut, I attended UConn (Go Huskies!) and adore living in vibrant NYC. I've traveled extensively domestically and abroad, but always looks forward to coming home- and home for me is currently in Long Island City, with my partner of 12+ years. Besides the wonderful idea of sharing referrals to the LGBTQIA+ community through NAGLREP, I am also eager to connect with other real estate professionals (Mortgage Brokers, Lawyers, etc.) who are licensed to practice in New York. I want to have a solid band of LGBTQIA+ professionals I feel comfortable suggesting to my clients. Lastly, with ALL referrals I get via NAGLREP that lead to a completed deal, I will be making a donation to a leading LGBTQIA+ charity: The Trevor Project; The Audre Lorde Project; The Ali Forney Center and Rainbow Railroad.
