I was born and raised in Lexington, NC (the BBQ Capital of the World!). After living in Charlotte for some time, I was transferred to Greenville with a previous job. Once here, I feel in love with how close to everything Greenville is. I currently live in the Furman area, at the base of Paris Mountain. Prior to moving to the mountain, I lived in both the North Main Area, Overbrook area, as well as the Augusta Road area where I renovated a condo at McDaniel Heights. I graduated from The Wyatt Real Estate Institute in 2005.  In 2009, James was selected as one of Greenville’s Best and Brightest 35 and under by Greenville Magazine and in 2015 was selected as part of The Greenville Chamber of Commerce's yearlong Leadership Greenville Class 42. In November 2013, I was named one of the Top 99 Realtors on Twitter by WebsiteBox as well as one of the 32 Most Popular Realtor’s in America by Home Buyer Nation.  I have served on several boards and committees, including with Greenville Forward, yWca of Greenville, Greenville Rotaract, the Julie Valentine Center. I served as a Commissioner on the Greenville Municipal Elections Commission from 2015 - 2017 and as the Chairman of the Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce Small Business Policy Council.  2016 was a watershed year for me. In addition to opening my own real estate brokerage in May; I survived several strokes and a week in the GHS Neurological Trauma ICU in December. As a result of that experience, I was tapped to be the Patient Advocate on the SC DHEC Stroke Advisory Council, a council which was formed by the Legislature in 2011 to help adapt uniform policies statewide to ensure better care and a higher survival rate for those impacted by strokes. In addition, I serve on the GHS Stroke Advancement Council as well as on the board of Greenville Polo Classic which benefits the GHS Neurological Institute.
