While there, I advised the LGBTQ student group, and facilitated trainings in the Stop the Hate campaign. I volunteered locally with the Manitou Springs School District 14, the Southern Colorado AIDS Project as well as various political campaigns. My spouse, Tamara, and I have been a couple since 1999, and married in 2006. Together we raised two daughters, who are now in Denver. We enjoy the empty nest, which we share with our little rescue dog, Buttons. We travel as much as we can, pre-retirement, and enjoy Colorado.
