Summer 2018: Why Chicago? Why NOT??? Don't believe the crap you read about Chicago. Chicago is great! Clean, easy to get around, fantastic food, awesome skyline, friendly people, easy lake access. We do have the drama that other cities have = crime and taxes, but....prices are low--values often what they were 10 years ago. Compared to other cities the same size/larger (NYC, San Fran, LA) = Chicago is a BARGAIN. Many transfee's coming to here. Why? Prices and weather. Climate change has been very kind to Chic--warmer winters and mild summers. Hows that for positive spin??? If you are considering Chic--please reach out to me. Why? I know this city---have lived here 20+ years, own 8 props (I'm an investor/landlord also) and love x 100 this city. Beyond that, I believe a successful Realtor must have a wide-range of skills = ability to serve clients needs, having solid knowledge of a desired area/the process, solid/proven negotiation skills, sense of urgency, problem solving, creativity and these days more therapy than anything else..... It is critial to focus on an area and become an expert about that area. Clients need Realtors for our knowledge and that is what I deliver. When it comes to the city of Chicago--(see area of speciality) -- I'm your guy. Why? If you want to know the buildings w/solid condo associations, ask me. What about pet friendly buildings? Ask me. Want lots of windows and private parking? Ask me. Which properties to avoid due to noise? Ask me. I sell 30-40 properties a year, so I have SOME experience, lol. I read neighborhood newspapers for area real estate happenings and have managed to lead my office (25 or so Realtors) through the GREAT RECESSION and now recovery. I'm happy to report we're having a record year. For sellers--staging, high watt light bulbs, air fresheners, etc 🙂 But NO lockboxes. I show my listings so buyers understand the features, status of a condominium association and answer any questions. During a showing, I'm on stage--I'm offering my 'spin', educating and getting excited about my clients property--same as they were when they bought.
