We were 100% delighted to have Dan Casper as our Realtor. We were not familiar with St Pete at all so Dan and his business partner Connie took the time to drive us around and introduce us to the many neighborhoods. He was extremely knowledgeable about each neighborhoods’ history, architecture, information about restaurants and other services, flood plains and insurance costs, and the commute time to downtown. Dan’s engaging personality and love of the homes and the area made that day an entertaining adventure rather than a tedious tour. He really understands the housing market and helped us coordinate the best times to research listings or to visit them in person; what to avoid and where to find the hidden gems.
Every morning we received real estate listings from Dan that were tailored to what we were looking for. We never felt rushed by him to make any decisions and we could change our criteria at any time. His motivation, integrity, and attention to detail allowed us to trust him very quickly. Dan was honest and enthusiastic about discussing the pros and cons of each property we wanted to see, noticing issues we might not have seen ourselves and suggesting solutions to elements we thought would be challenging. He made certain we could visit homes we liked privately or during Open Houses and was very flexible about our schedule. When the day came to knuckle down and look at many properties in one day, Dan arranged it so we had time to see a variety of listings in several neighborhoods and still have time to revisit the house we really liked a second time to make the final decision.
Dan was hands-on all the way up to our closing, continuing to advise us and to direct us to services we needed, whether that was recommending gas companies for our new water heater, directing us to the correct phone numbers to call to turn on our utilities, or just checking in to see how we were doing with the closing process. When we discovered an open city permit on the house, Dan and Connie both went the extra mile of being at our new home to allow workers to come and go when we could not be there so that the permit could clear and not delay our closing. He even arranged for the closing to take place at his realty office because of its convenient location.
Since moving into our house, Dan continues to be a resource for us—alerting us to events in town he knows we would like and advising us about the ins and outs of adding a swimming pool to the property. We could not have had a better experience and we recommend Dan’s expertise without reserve.
