NAGLREP Palm Springs! Secure Your Ticket Before a Sellout!
October warmth.
Outdoor market and iconic shopping.
Hiking. Golf. The Tram.
Celebrity homes.
And the 5th annual NAGLREP Conference on October 1-3 that has become a MUST attend event for LGBTs and allies in real estate.
The relaxed atmosphere at the famed Riveria, which combines its “Rat Pack” history with contemporary Palm Springs, allows NALGREP attendees to network, enjoy fabulous receptions, have unmatched access to real estate and LGBT leaders, and of course, benefit from incredible learning sessions.
The timing couldn’t be better!
There is so much happening in our real estate world. The market is changing, the Millennials have arrived, and so many new players have emerged. iBuying is growing and now even Amazon has entered the game.
At the same time, the LGBT community is facing an administration that is seemingly doing everything it can to hurt us while we continue to reflect and commemorate the 50th anniversary of Stonewall.
There is so much to talk about
From CEOs, top speakers, down-to-earth and approachable superstar agents who made NAGLREP’s Top LGBT+ Agent List, and icons like Judy and Dennis Shepard, the conference has it all.
Judy and Dennis saw their life change in 1998 when they lost their son Matthew to a murder motivated by anti-gay hate that shocked and captivated the nation. They went on to become the leading voice in the fight for LGBT rights with their Matthew Shepard Foundation (NAGLREP will share a portion of the conference’s proceeds to the organization). Judy and Dennis, who have been called “the mother and father” of the LGBT movement, will share their story and help us all understand the enormity of our work in our communities.
Their friend Jonathan Lovitz, who leads the NGLCC, will also attend and provide us with incredible insight into the economic power of the LBGT community and how we can best engage locally to assist LGBTs in their housing needs as we grow our businesses. Other attending LGBT leaders include PFLAG’s Drew Griffin, HRC’s JoDee Winterhof and London-based Sebastian Rocca who works tirelessly to help LGBT refugees from more than 70 countries where homosexuality is criminalized.
We’ve also got Jamie Zapata, who will share her incredible story as a transgender woman who found a home in real estate, and Shann Carr, who will lead her super popular Big Gay Mid-Mod Tour. And, of course, LGBT icon and hilarious comedian/actor Alec Mapa will be our MC.
Accessible real estate leaders
There is no other conference in real estate where attendees can mingle so easily with – and learn from – the leaders of our industry. Gino Blefari, who has risen the ranks to become the CEO of HomeServices of America, will attend along with John Peyton, the CEO of the Realogy Franchise Group who led the real estate industry to fully support the Equality Act.
We also have Engel & Vӧlkers CEO Anthony Hitt, the only openly gay CEO of a major real estate brand, Tami Bonnell, the CEO of Exit Realty who combines real estate with the martial arts (it’s true!) and Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate CEO Sherry Chris who brought the word “inclusion” to the real estate forefront.
And, if you want to know where the real estate market is headed, you will love the dueling economists Sam Khater (Freddie Mac) and Mark Fleming (First American Financial Corporation).
Those who want to up their luxury game, will really benefit from hearing from Sotheby’s International Realty CMO Kevin Thompson and Coldwell Banker Global Luxury leader Craig Hogan, along with attending Luxury Live, an all-day course presented by the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing.
