A Sarasota organization that promotes tolerance and diversity and rejects hatred and predjudice.

This year’s exhibition of 45 billboard sized posters decorates Sarasota’s Island Park on Sarasota Bay thorugh May 31st.  According to the Embracing Our Differences website “the images were created from a diverse group of local, national and international artists, writers and students reflecting their interpretations of the them ‘enriching our lives through diversity'”.

The Embracing Our Differences display is now in its 14th year.  Last year at least 209,000 visitors viewed this wonderful display of artwork.  Since 2004 Embracing Our Differences’ annual displays have reached more than 2,300,000.

This inspiring and thought provoking annual display was one of the many wonderful things about Sarasota that convinced me to move here over 10 years ago.  I wish I had moved to this wonderful city decades ago.
