did quite a bit of homework prior to making a move halfway across the country to a place where I didn’t know a soul. Of course this included researching who might be an appropriate realtor.

Based on my internet knowledge I knew that I picked someone who was going to be an above average realtor at the very least. But what I actually got was beyond any reasonable expectation.

Steve Davis’s cheerful disposition disguises an exemplary professionalism. As a Richmond native, his accumulation of knowledge of the area includes deep historical perspectives relative to the individual neighborhoods. His attentiveness to wants, must haves and concerns was always evident, clear and direct. I was shown properties I thought I wanted as well as alternatives that I had barely considered. Every showing included pros and cons. His explanation of a 90% rule was a great practical asset that became personal to me.

We literally spent nearly a year working together because I contracted on a to-be-built (one of the alternative showings!). He met with me with each month when I visited to assess the progress and he assisted with several matters that came up as part of the buying process and construction of my new home.

My next to favorite day on this long and fortunate journey to Richmond was meeting Steve at my new home with my keys on moving day.

I didn’t know until later that my favorite day would be when I realized how fortunate I was to have met Steve at his office and used him as my realtor.
