Review for Christopher Ken Macon by Jay S
Selling a Historic Baltimore Home — A Journey with Ken
Ken and I have been on quite the journey selling my historic home in Baltimore City.
I used to be one of those people who thought realtors made too much money for simply selling a house — that is, until I experienced what happens when you don’t have the right one. I’ve had the displeasure of working with a bad realtor who cost me $5,000, friendly one who ended up being far more costly in missed opportunities, and a part-time beginner who could only respond after 5 p.m. because of his “real” job. All of this happened within a two-year period of buying and selling homes in two different states.
I’m a no-nonsense person. I like to stick to the task at hand, focus on the goal, and work with people who do the same. Meeting Ken was interesting at first — Ken’s personality seemed very no-nonsense and direct, which I initially wasn’t sure how to take. But within weeks, I realized he was the perfect match for what I needed in a partner.
Ken has a unique ability to both listen to the seller’s input and bring clarity and strategic advice to the table. But what truly set him apart was his gift for helping me disconnect my emotional attachment to the home — something that’s not easy to do with a property you’ve poured your heart into. That shift made all the difference in how I approached the sale.
But just as important — or maybe even more so — were his resources. Through Ken’s network and connections, I was able to get necessary repairs and upgrades done quickly and affordably, saving thousands of dollars in the process. He never lost confidence, and I never lost confidence in him.
Ken is an outstanding realtor — experienced, connected, and fully equipped to help navigate and close even the most complex real estate deals.
