Eric is the real deal. I moved to Austin a few years ago, but this was the first time my boyfriend and I used an agent for a house rental. I’d spoken to other agents who didn’t seem interested in showing rentals (one said he wouldn’t show more than 3). And I get it – buyers bring the big bucks; it might not be worth the time to help find a place for someone who is renting. But Eric did not take that approach. He was so helpful and went to bat for us from the get-go. I reached out to him to introduce myself, letting him know the target move-out date we had at the time. For a few different reasons, our date was pushed up a few weeks – and I texted him, apologetically, on a Sunday morning, asking to see a place that day. He responded right away and cancelled his (much more fun) plan to meet us at the house to see it. He was so kind, helpful and attentive throughout the entire process. There was a lot of demand for the house – it was basically open house viewing when we showed up, so we didn’t think we had much of a chance. But he helped us navigate everything. For instance, we have a dog, which was a strike on the application, but he guided us in telling our story to the owner and explaining our situation. And he was also a great liaison with the owner’s agent. Eric was proactive and responsive in each step after we found out our application had been approved. He is a great real estate agent. He is also a great person, and we’re so glad we met him. It’s been nothing but a positive experience working with him, we’re claiming him as our friend, and we will definitely be calling him when we buy in a few years!
