I realized at a very young age that the world doesn't come see me, and it is up to me to be curious enough to go, see, and do! Raised by parents who supported us through hospitality work such as cooking, waitressing, catering, etc; I learned the meaning of a hard days work and would spend 20+ years working and thriving in the hospitality/ management/customer service/home improvement world. Ten of those years were spent working for The Home Depot as a regional supervisor in Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. During this time our team measured and estimated tens of thousands of properties for carpet, hardwood, cabinets, etc and immersed me into the fascinating world of home improvement. This gave me a true inside look at properties from the 1950s, 60s, 70s using different construction types, at varying stages of disrepair, and help them come back to life with updated finishes and some good old fashion elbow grease! This background gives me a diverse and unique set of communication and problem solving skills which combine to make a successful (and really fun) Real Estate Broker. I am celebrating 5 years in Real Estate this year in our new home Bellingham, Washington. My husband, a Navy Veteran and Public Defender, and I moved in March 2021 from Little Rock, Arkansas, finally accomplishing our 10 year goal of returning to Washington where my family is originally from and where my husband spent his Navy career. The PNW is where our hearts want to be and we have been welcomed with such open arms and grace. Thank you to all the amazing people who have embraced us as if we’ve always been part of the fabric of this amazing community. I love connecting with people and learning about individual’s specific wants and needs. Helping buyers and sellers in Real Estate for the past 5 years has been the most exciting and fulfilling part of my working life. It takes time to build relationships based on trust, confidence, patience, and at all times a sense of humor 😉 We will need all of these strengths to be successful in what is often an exciting, invigorating, and at times frustratingly difficult experience ofbuying or selling a home.
