Marketing to the Next Generation of LGBTQ Buyers: More lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender couples are purchasing homes since the U.S. Supreme Court ruled to legalize same-sex marriage more than three years ago, according to the second annual LGBT Real Estate Report produced by the National Association of Gay and Lesbian Real Estate Professionals. Nearly 50 percent of NAGLREP members reported an increase in married LGBT couples buying homes and the estimated nine million people who identify as LGBT in the United States had a staggering buying power of $917 billion, the most of any minority group. Speaker Bio: In her 10+ years of product and marketing experience, Laura has focused on keeping the needs and wants of consumers at the center of every interaction — with a special passion for helping minorities. She’s partnered with clients including NAR®, Google, Finland’s mobile-gaming giant Supercell,, Bloomberg Philanthropies, and more to build products, brands, marketing strategies, and systems to facilitate great work from cross-functional teams. As the Director of Creative Operations for, she looks forward to solving complicated problems that will help more Americans realize their dream of homeownership. She’s also a member of the advisory board for Earnwell, a startup that aims to make it easier for people to invest in companies that care about diversity, sustainability, and LGBTQ equality.

Laura has a B.S. in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Pittsburgh. She lives with her wife and nutty rescue mutt in Brooklyn where she also dabbles in film photography.
